Legal advisor Yasser Qantoush announced the issuance of a final arbitration ruling in favor of artist Sherine Abdel Wahab in the dispute concerning her official YouTube channel, before the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration. The arbitral tribunal ordered the other party to pay USD 370,000, confirming the artist’s legal entitlement and safeguarding her digital rights.
According to the official statement, the tribunal reviewed all submitted documents and evidence and concluded that Sherine Abdel Wahab’s legal position regarding the management of her official channel is sound. In parallel, the accused (M.M.H.) was referred to urgent trial before the Cairo Economic Misdemeanor Court on charges related to unlawfully seizing the “Sherine Abd-Wahab” YouTube channel and profiting from its management.
Qantoush also categorically denied rumors about selling or giving up the artist’s official social media accounts, stressing that all accounts remain fully owned by Sherine Abdel Wahab.
