X experienced a sudden outage on Monday, with tens of thousands of users reporting problems loading the platform via both the app and the website.

According to Downdetector data, the outage began around 8:02 a.m. ET and complaints quickly escalated in both the U.S. and the U.K.

This outage follows a similar incident the platform experienced in mid-January.

Data showed a sharp rise in reports after 8 a.m., with U.S. complaints exceeding 40,000, while the U.K. recorded more than 6,000.

Other regions, including the Philippines and Costa Rica, also reported similar issues.

Users attempting to access "X" received a message saying "something went wrong," with feeds failing to update and posts not appearing, affecting both the app and website.

The outage occurred during peak hours, increasing its spread and impact on users worldwide.

So far, "X" has not issued any official statement regarding the cause of the outage, but the volume of complaints recalls the major outage the platform experienced in November 2025.
