Egyptian actress Luqaa Al-Khamissi expressed her pride in her cultural identity, highlighting her mixed Egyptian and Assyrian roots in a message that gained wide attention on social media.

She explained that part of her heritage comes from her mother’s Assyrian culture, reflecting a deep connection to a diverse and long-standing family history.

Luqaa shared a video on her official Instagram account showing a person speaking the Assyrian language, accompanied by a comment in which she expressed her pride in belonging to two ancient civilizations, Egyptian and Assyrian, receiving widespread praise from her followers and audience.

A Family with a Rich Cultural Legacy Luqaa Al-Khamissi previously revealed that her mother is Iraqi-Assyrian from the village of Berozaawa, and that her grandfather is the late thinker and artist Abdel Rahman Al-Khamissi, one of the most prominent figures in Egyptian culture in literature, music, and theater, giving her a rich and distinguished artistic and cultural heritage.

On the artistic front, Luqaa continues her presence in television drama with a new series titled "Rouge Aswad", set to air in the upcoming Ramadan season. The series is a social drama that highlights contemporary women’s issues inspired by reality, through interwoven stories set inside a family court, featuring a star-studded cast after a lengthy filming period spanning several months.
