Dunia Alfi: What Happened Was a Difficult Situation
In her first official comment on the Musicians’ Syndicate’s decision to suspend her from singing for two months and impose a 50,000 EGP fine, singer Dunia Alfi posted an apology to her fans and syndicate members on her official Facebook account.
Dunia Alfi wrote: “I am singer Dunia Alfi, I deeply respect the Musicians’ Syndicate and appreciate its significant role in organizing and protecting the profession and preserving its values.”
She continued: “What happened was a difficult situation and it was never my intention to offend the syndicate, my fans, or my colleagues in the artistic community. If any of my actions or reactions were misinterpreted, I sincerely apologize with full respect.”
The singer confirmed her full commitment to the syndicate’s decisions, saying: “I respect Head Mustafa Kamel and the syndicate board, and I fully accept the penalty, trusting in the syndicate’s fairness and dedication to the profession and its members. I apologize from my heart to my dear fans, who have always been my support, and I promise to learn from any experience and always meet your expectations.”
