Afaf Shaib: I won’t respond or comment on the post Mohamed Sami: Afaf Shaib has been filing cases against me for two years and losing them

Egyptian actress Afaf Shaib reacted after losing yet again the lawsuit she filed against director Mohamed Sami, responding to a post he published on his official Facebook account announcing the court’s rejection of her compensation claim.

Afaf Shaib told reporters that she would return to the courts after this post, saying: "I won’t respond or comment on the post or the matter. I have a lawyer who will respond."

Mohamed Sami responds sarcastically

Mohamed Sami commented on the court’s decision to reject the compensation case filed against him for defamation, writing on Facebook: "Madam Afaf Shaib has been filing cases against me for two years and losing them, and today was the last case, which she also lost. I don’t know why she insists on suing me without cause and claims that I wronged her in a TV show, which never happened. The courts ruled it didn’t happen, with final judgments, and all the rulings were in my favor at all levels."

He added: "The episode she claimed I abandoned her in is online and anyone can watch it. I would never wrong a woman my mother’s age or older, especially a senior actress with her history."

He continued: "This is my first official statement on the matter because I waited until the actress lost all her cases, as happened. Now my legal advisor, Mr. Shaaban Said, and I are discussing the next steps after two years of personal attacks and defamation. We either take legal action against her for compensation for defamation and reputation damage, or we forgive and move on, keep our cool, don’t add to their stress, and resolve the matter amicably if we choose to."
