Egyptian actress Sawsan Badr suffered a sudden health setback after falling in front of a cinema in downtown Cairo while attending a private screening, which resulted in an injury to her right thigh.

She was immediately transferred by ambulance to Al-Hilal Hospital, before being later moved to Al-Safa Hospital in the Mohandessin district, where she underwent a series of medical examinations and necessary scans. She was examined by an orthopedic surgeon, who recommended surgical intervention to insert a support device in the right thigh, based on the results of the tests and medical analyses.

The actress is scheduled to undergo surgery in the coming hours as part of the treatment plan determined by the medical team.

In the same context, the Actors’ Syndicate issued a statement reassuring the public about Sawsan Badr’s health, confirming that she had suffered a fracture that required her transfer to the hospital to undergo urgent surgery.

The syndicate clarified that her health condition is stable, that she is in good condition and in high spirits, and that her medical status will continue to be monitored until she fully recovers and returns to her artistic activities.

Sawsan Badr had recently stated that the idea of retirement sometimes crosses her mind, explaining that the pressure of filming schedules and having to wake up very early makes her think about it for a few moments, before she quickly returns to work and prepares for her upcoming roles.
