The Egyptian actress Hanan Shoukry revealed secrets about her artistic and personal life during a recent interview, where she discussed the reasons behind her departure from the art scene 24 years ago and recalled the most impactful moments in her career.
Hanan Shoukry stated in her televised remarks that the audience still remembers her role in the series "Layali Al-Helmiya" and calls her by the title "Dr. Qamar."
She added: "My departure from the artistic scene was not a sudden decision. Since 2002, I chose to buy my own freedom, focus on my relationship with God, care about my afterlife, and withdraw from people. I felt that my spirit was not with me among strangers."
Regarding her artistic experiences, she said: "I felt frustrated when I requested a role from a producer and was not granted it, and I regretted it. Since that time, I used to celebrate awards away from artistic work and enjoy staying home more."
Shoukry also spoke about her health crises, saying: "I experienced a severe psychological crisis while driving; I could not see anything, and I suffered a heart attack. The doctor told me that someone was disturbing my heart."
