Actor Ahmed El-Sakka explained the reasons for his absence from the Ramadan 2026 season, confirming that he is currently focusing on preparing several cinematic projects set to be released in the near future.
El-Sakka revealed in media statements that he is working on several new films during the coming period, noting that he sometimes seeks to step back from pressure and refresh his artistic energy.
He also mentioned the possibility of participating in the next Ramadan season without specifying any particular dramatic projects so far, saying, "If God wills, I might participate in Ramadan."
He continued filming scenes for his new movie with Yasmine Abdel Aziz, in addition to another film directed by Sherif Arafa, as well as preparing a cinematic project that involves a large group of actors, including Amr Youssef, Amr Saad, and Amina Khalil.
Ahmed Saad announced his collaboration with director Sherif Arafa to produce the second part of the film Mafia, which achieved major box-office success 24 years ago.
El-Sakka said that the new part of Mafia will bring together young new stars alongside some of the actors from the first installment.
He confirmed that the story of the second part will be completely different from the previous one and will feature a new adventure confronting a gang that poses a serious threat and is planning a dangerous operation.
