The Egyptian artistic community was shocked Friday morning by the death of young actor Mohamed El-Emam, after months of battling illness. His friends and fans expressed deep sorrow and rushed to mourn him on social media.

TV presenter Ayman Mostafa expressed his grief on Facebook: "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return. My dear and kind friend is in God’s care. Please pray for his mercy and forgiveness."

Egyptian acting coach Noor Ramz revealed details about El-Emam’s health before his death, explaining that he had been suffering for months without a proper diagnosis or treatment.

"Heart Attack"

She wrote: "El-Emam has been facing a great test for months; may God place it in the scale of his good deeds. He spent seven months in hospitals suffering without diagnosis or treatment. Finally, he was diagnosed and began treatment ten days ago."

Ramz added: "However, he suffered a heart attack and was admitted to cardiac care. His family was informed during today’s visit that his heart stopped six times during the night and was resuscitated. He is now in a semi-coma with the possibility of entering a full coma, and his body cannot endure further treatment. We ask God to heal him, ease his suffering, and make his illness count in his good deeds."

In another post, Noor Ramz announced his passing, noting that the funeral prayer will be held after Dhuhr prayer at Al-Nasr Mosque in the Ragab area, with burial at Al-Amoud Cemetery, the last gate before Amoud Al-Sawari.
