The Jordan Football Association (JFA) has issued the schedule and venues for Weeks 11 through 18 of the Jordanian Pro League for the 2025/2026 season.

This scheduling comes as part of the Association’s commitment to organizing domestic competitions in a way that serves the aspirations of both clubs and national teams, and ensures the season concludes on time.

The JFA confirmed that the new schedule was drafted with the goal of completing all professional competitions by May 15 at the latest.

This measure aims to give the national senior team, “Al-Nashama,” sufficient time to begin its critical preparatory camp ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, reflecting the highest priority the Association places on the team’s journey in the global arena.

Flexible dates and continental commitments

The issued schedule took into account the participation of the national U23 team in the AFC Asian Cup. Accordingly, Week 11 matches (originally scheduled for January 23–25) will be postponed to start from Week 12, provided that the “Young Nashama” reach the semi-finals of the Asian tournament.

Additionally, postponed matches from the Jordan Cup quarter-finals and Week 11 of the Pro League will be held after Week 18 and before the senior team’s camp in March.

The postponed match between Al-Wehdat and Al-Baqa’a from the first round will take place on Tuesday, January 20, if the U23 team does not reach the Asian Cup semi-finals.

Special arrangements were also made for Al-Hussein due to their continental participation. The rescheduling of the Al-Faisaly vs. Al-Hussein clash in Week 15 will be announced later, given Al-Hussein’s involvement in AFC Champions League 2 competitions.

Similarly, the match between Al-Sarhan and Al-Hussein in Week 18 (scheduled for March 2, 2026) will be postponed if “Al-Maliki” qualify for the advanced stages of the Asian tournament.

League format and title race

The league this season will follow an exceptional format with 10 clubs, as part of the Association’s strategy to develop competitions. The clubs will play in a three-phase split league system.

With the new schedule announced, the race for the title and the top-four spots heats up, while the relegation battle intensifies, with the bottom two teams dropping to the First Division.

Al-Faisaly leads the standings with 25 points, followed by Al-Ramtha with 24, Al-Hussein 21, Al-Wehdat 17, Al-Salt 15, Al-Jazeera and Al-Baqa’a 11, Shabab Al-Ordon 8, Al-Ahli 4, and Al-Sarhan last with 1 point.
