Egyptian actor Ahmed El Sakka announced today, Friday, his decision to step away from social media, following a series of mockery and harsh criticism in recent days.

El Sakka wrote on his official account: "Sufficient for me is Allah, and He is the Best Disposer of Affairs against anyone who mocked me, belittled my status, or lied about anything I said. You will be my adversaries before God on the Day of Judgment… Farewell to social media."

Huge Controversy El Sakka was at the center of last week’s controversy after statements that sparked widespread reactions on social media, particularly regarding Egyptian professional footballer Mohamed Salah at Liverpool FC.

In a video clip, El Sakka addressed the English club’s management in solidarity with his compatriot, asserting that the player is subjected to what he described as "oppression and mistreatment" within the club.

In a different context, El Sakka revealed the historical figure he most wishes to portray in his acting career, mentioning the companion Khalid ibn al-Walid, noting that he resembles him physically, reflecting his future artistic ambitions.
