The Fire Broke Out Due to an Electric Washing Machine Short-Circuit Among the Children Present Was One Dependent on a Mechanical Ventilator

Twelve infants miraculously survived after a fire broke out at a nursery center in the Fayoum Governorate, Egypt.

Initial investigations revealed that the fire started due to an electric washing machine catching fire from a short circuit, which caused a temporary power outage inside the center.

Among the children was one dependent on a mechanical ventilator, along with two children with special needs, which made the situation even more critical. Divine providence was on their side, as the fire was quickly controlled and all children were safely evacuated.

Medical teams provided first aid and transferred the children to other nurseries for proper medical care. Medical sources confirmed that one child suffered mild smoke inhalation, and received immediate treatment, while medical examinations continued to ensure the safety of all children.

Investigations indicated that the initial cause of the fire was an electric short circuit in the washing machine inside the nursery, with the public prosecution continuing its investigation to determine the final cause.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced sending a committee from the Free Treatment Department at the Health Directorate to review the center’s license and ensure compliance with all safety and fire prevention regulations, especially since the center is private and affiliated with a charitable association.

The children’s survival in this incident is considered a small miracle, showing how life can sometimes bring hope amid danger, and emphasizing the importance of following safety measures to protect young lives.
