Feryal Youssef says she did not receive her financial dues Nadia El Gendy: "She used to be absent a lot"

The crisis between Tunisian actress Feryal Youssef and Egyptian actress Nadia El Gendy escalated in recent hours, after their media dispute turned into an official legal battle, with accusations of defamation and slander.

Feryal Youssef files an official complaint

Feryal Youssef filed an official complaint against Nadia El Gendy. Prosecutor Mohamed Shawky Eyad referred the complaint to the Fifth Settlement Prosecutor's Office, registered under number 82 for the year 2025, economic misdemeanors.

The complaint, circulated by local media, stated that Feryal Youssef participated in the series "Asrar," produced by "Nadia El Gendy Films Production," but she did not receive her full financial dues for her participation. She also stated that Nadia El Gendy spoke about her in several recorded interviews using offensive language, which prompted her to resort to legal action.

Feryal Youssef’s lawyer submitted documents, including recordings of the interviews, and a report from the General Administration of Information Technology confirmed the validity of the incident, paving the way for Nadia El Gendy to be officially summoned by the prosecution for investigation.

Nadia El Gendy responds to the complaint

Nadia El Gendy, for her part, stated that Feryal Youssef frequently was absent from filming locations during their work together, describing the complaint as an attempt to cover up her lack of commitment. She added in press statements: "I was the one who filed a complaint against Feryal Youssef because she worked with me on a project for some time and was absent a lot. Now she is trying to cover up her noncompliance."
