Egyptian actress Nivine Mandour tragically lost her life in a house fire, according to actor Sherif Edris, who shared the news on his social media accounts.

The star of the film “Elly Bali Balak”, which featured actor Mohamed Saad in 2003, died in the massive fire before rescue teams could arrive.

Sherif Edris posted a photo of the late actress, commenting: "There is no god but Allah… The kind and beautiful friend Nivine Mandour is in God’s care… May Allah have mercy on you and bless you."

Edris confirmed in press statements that the late actress perished due to a large fire in her home, passing away before the arrival of emergency teams.

Previously, Nivine Mandour had revealed the reasons behind her absence from the artistic scene after her success in “Elly Bali Balak”, stating that her mother’s illness and health issues required her constant presence, out of duty and love, in addition to her struggle to cope with the success of the film.

Nivine added that her mother had performed the pilgrimage 17 times, her father worked as an assistant to the Minister of Interior, and she comes from a well-off family.

Regarding rumors about her absence being linked to a drug case, she clarified that she was cleared immediately from the first minute, as she was not the intended target of the case, emphasizing that the matter upset her deeply as it affected her reputation and that of her father.
