A “mysterious” message — that’s how followers of the Egyptian actress Riham Abdel Ghafour described what she posted on her personal Instagram account, in which she expressed her pain towards some people who attributed qualities to her that do not apply, and denied the good she had done for them.
Riham Abdel Ghafour wrote: “Hasbuna Allah for those who spoke about us what is not in us, and attributed to us what we did not do, transgressed against us, denied the good we did, and Allah is sufficient as a witness.”
The Egyptian actress sparked curiosity among the public about who she was referring to, as the message carried a lot of sadness and disappointment from people to whom she had given much, only to be met with rumors and ingratitude.
Riham Abdel Ghafour’s Return to Cinema
Separately, Riham Abdel Ghafour is preparing to return to cinema with two new films after a period of absence, her last cinematic work being “Awlad Hareem Karim” in 2023, in which she appeared as a guest.
The first film, titled “Barshama”, is a social comedy centered around cheating in schools during a single day at a high school exam committee. Riham stars alongside Hisham Majed, Basem Samra, Taha Desouki, Mostafa Gharib, Hatem Salah, Ahmed Essam El-Sayed, and several guest actors.
The second film, “New Year’s Map”, is a new and surprising experience for her audience, in which Riham plays a woman with Down syndrome. The story follows a young woman facing an unusual journey after her family faces a sudden crisis, leading her to search for her missing mother with the help of her niece’s son. Along the way, they encounter situations and challenges that test her inner strength and ability to protect the child, opening doors to a completely new world.
The film stars Riham Abdel Ghafour, Mohamed Mamdouh, Asmaa Abu El-Yazid, Hanadi Mehna, and Asser Ahmed Hamdi, written by Youssef Wagdy and directed by Rami El-Gendy.
