• Angham sends prayers for Tamer Hosny’s recovery

• Concert held in front of the Giza Pyramids with large audience

Egyptian star Angham sent her prayers for her colleague, artist Tamer Hosny, who is currently facing a health crisis, during her concert on Monday evening in front of the Giza Pyramids.

During the concert, Angham told her audience: "Just as you supported me with your prayers, now let’s pray for an Egyptian artist and star. May God protect him and help him stand on his feet. Let’s all pray for Tamer Hosny to get through his health crisis. He’s a wonderful person, a conscious and talented artist."

She added: "Tamer Hosny is my colleague and brother, and he checked on me every day. From here, I say to him: God willing, you will recover safely."

Tamer Hosny had undergone a delicate surgery in Germany, during which part of one of his kidneys was removed, raising concern among his fans in the Arab world.

The audience responded to Angham by chanting "You are the voice of Egypt," to which she replied: "It’s a great honor and responsibility, but any Egyptian artist, whether a singer or sculptor, is truly the voice of Egypt to the entire world."

Angham performed a selection of her most popular songs in front of a large gathering of celebrities and officials.

Meanwhile, Tamer Hosny is preparing for his first concert after partial recovery as part of the "Raei Masr" foundation events on December 20, which he announced on his Instagram, saying: "My beloveds, I missed you so much."
