The General Assembly members of the Egyptian Actors’ Syndicate unanimously approved the amendments to the union’s regulations, aiming to align them with the current reality of actors and improve membership conditions and pensions.
The new amendments require actors to be evaluated by a committee before joining the syndicate, ensure they maintain good conduct and actively practice the profession, and include raising the pension to 1,100 Egyptian pounds.
Extensive Discussions The session, attended by Ashraf Zaki, President of the Actors’ Syndicate, following his withdrawal of a resignation decision, witnessed extensive discussions on the key items affected by the amendments. Members expressed their support for the importance of developing the syndicate’s work and organizing it to meet current requirements.
Participants emphasized that the new decision marks the beginning of a new institutional phase based on active participation from all members, noting that full details of the amendments will be announced in the coming days.
