In a surprising move, Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab filed a police report against her brother, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, initiating legal measures that many considered “unexpected,” following recent disputes between them.

Sherine Abdel Wahab stated in the report, registered under number 14940 of 2025 at the Basateen Police Department, that she requests her brother to commit legally not to harass her, causing a significant shock to both the family and the public, especially since the past period had been marked by calm between them following her divorce from singer Hossam Habib, with no major incidents reported.

“I have no knowledge”

On his part, Mohamed Abdel Wahab expressed his astonishment, confirming that he was unaware of this legal action, saying: “I have no knowledge of this at all, and no one informed me.”

In a related context, Sherine had previously achieved another legal victory, where her lawyer, Yasser Qantoush, obtained an acquittal for her in a case accusing her of insulting and defaming the manager of her private social media page. The case stemmed from a dispute over the passwords for her accounts, reflecting her commitment to protecting her legal and personal rights.
