Egyptian actor Hamdi Al-Wazir experienced a sudden health issue that required his transfer to a private hospital in Cairo for intensive medical care.

A source close to the actor revealed that Al-Wazir suffered a heart attack in recent hours, necessitating comprehensive medical tests and examinations, which confirmed the need for close monitoring without requiring admission to the intensive care unit.

The source added that the actor has been dealing with heart problems for several years and underwent surgery in 2022 to treat an aortic aneurysm. He has been visiting the hospital regularly for routine check-ups, yet he recently faced an emergency.

Al-Wazir’s daughter, Mai Al-Wazir, said her father’s condition has slightly improved since being admitted to the hospital, and he is expected to be discharged in the coming days as his recovery continues. She added that the doctor requested additional tests to monitor his blood pressure and other vital functions.

She also confirmed that her father is fully conscious, his condition is stable, and his health is not considered dangerous.

It is worth noting that the actor was born in Port Said in 1955. He began his career in the late 1970s, participating in prominent film and television works, and also directed multiple plays, establishing a distinguished presence in the arts.
