Mostafa Kamel: “Our meeting will be soon, God willing, before the state authorities and the judiciary” Mostafa Kamel: “No one is above accountability, no matter who they are”

Egyptian artist Mostafa Kamel, head of the Musicians’ Syndicate, issued a stern warning to several individuals who had leveled accusations against some members of the syndicate’s board, affirming that anyone found involved would be referred to investigative authorities and the judiciary.

Kamel appeared in a video posted on his official Facebook page, stating that despite his health condition, he felt compelled to record the message to “reveal the truth,” directing his words “to all the suspicious and mercenary individuals,” and emphasizing: “Our meeting will be soon, God willing, before the state authorities and the judiciary.” He added that the board he works with is “the most honorable and upright council,” and no one will be exempt from accountability: “Whoever we prove guilty, I will be the first to face the law with them; no one is above accountability, no matter who they are.”

No Place for Traitors in the Syndicate

Kamel issued a strict warning to those he described as traitors or involved in harming the syndicate, asserting that any “traitor or accomplice” would have no place within the syndicate and would not be honored alongside the names of the honorable members who contributed to its success.

In a sharp message directed at a specific individual, Kamel said: “You thief, you fool, and your accomplices… do you think opening and closing the page went unnoticed? The country is not careless, and by God, you will be caught one by one,” noting that he now spends most of his time with his close colleagues on the board rather than in gatherings or cafés.

The syndicate head also highlighted his efforts to maintain unity within the council, stressing that he deliberately restrained personal disputes to ensure the stability of the syndicate: “If I had wanted discord, I have a million proofs that hearts were not reconciled… but I chose to preserve the entity and suppress anything that could ignite conflict.”

Kamel concluded by emphasizing that his primary goal is to ensure the ongoing success of the syndicate and uphold its prestige, clarifying that he does not compel anyone to love or pledge loyalty to him personally, but he demands that everyone work for the benefit of the organization. He reiterated that anyone proven involved in corruption or embezzlement of syndicate funds will face the full force of the legal system.
