Yasser Farag revealed in a television interview the reasons behind his five-year hiatus from the entertainment industry and the personal hardships he endured during that time

Farag explained that the passing of his wife after a long battle with cancer was the most difficult ordeal of his life. He confirmed that he stayed by her side throughout the treatment journey and did not leave her, returning to her immediately after a short separation once he learned her condition had worsened

He also spoke about the challenges he faced raising his three children during the period of mourning, striving to remain strong for them and honoring his wife’s final wishes to care for the children and not neglect himself despite the profound grief

Farag expressed his shock at the lack of support from several fellow artists during his wife’s illness and after her passing, noting that he received little contact or assistance from most of them, which caused him deep emotional pain

He also disclosed that a year after his wife’s death, he developed a romantic relationship with a female colleague. He had considered committing to the relationship after seeing that his children accepted her, but ultimately decided to end it due to family reasons
