"Tamer Hosny: "Poverty and Family Breakup Did Not Stop My Ambition

Egyptian artist Tamer Hosny shared a video on his official Instagram account from an animated film, revealing exciting details about the beginnings of his artistic career.
The artist, nicknamed the "Star of the Generation," delivered an inspiring message to his fans, urging them to hold on to hope and face challenges. Drawing from his personal experience, he recalled a childhood marked by poverty and family instability, yet he never gave up and ultimately achieved great success.
The video was accompanied by a clip from his hit song "Tol Ma Enta Mesh Temthal" (As Long as You’re Not a Statue), with Tamer writing: "My dear ones thinking right now, this is a message for you… The bars of the prison of your negative thoughts are made by you. No one is holding you back, you are holding yourself. The moment you stop thinking in despair, all the bars will fall, you’ll break free, succeed, and achieve everything you wish for and more."
Tamer Hosny: Overcoming Poverty and Family Struggles Tamer spoke about the challenges he faced in his career, saying: "I swear, before I succeeded, I used to hear things like: ‘You’ll never succeed,’ ‘Your voice won’t reach,’ ‘You don’t have the qualities of a star’… Plus severe financial hardship and family instability since I was 7. Frustration from all sides, but I never gave up or listened to discouraging words; on the contrary, it motivated me more and strengthened my determination to succeed."
He added: "Stay active, take initiative, and strive… Life neither favors nor smiles upon the passive. If you don’t like your place in the world, change it. You’re not a statue."
Continuing Motivational Messages for Youth Earlier, Tamer posted a clip from an animated film highlighting the theme of overcoming the impossible, emphasizing that self-belief and support give a person the ability to achieve what may seem out of reach.
In his latest motivational message to young people, he said: "This is such an amazing video… Every time we think about taking a step forward or a new step toward success, we don’t know if we’ll succeed. But if we plan it right and prepare with the right people at the right time, the most important thing left is your faith in the step and your immense love and passion for it."
He explained that the scene showing the child seemingly walking in the air symbolizes impossible dreams that can be achieved through self-confidence, not literal walking on air.
Tamer stressed that the present is the key to true success, saying: "Focus on the present because it’s all you truly own. If you embrace it, it will embrace you, support you, and help you move as fast as possible. Love your present despite any problems, face its challenges, and make the best decision now to succeed. No one can help you but your effort and striving. Don’t look back, please… Have a blessed day."
