Child Loses Life Over His Shoe in Egypt

A tragic incident occurred in Egypt’s Giza Governorate, where a child lost his life by drowning while trying to retrieve his shoe that had fallen into the Nile River. His attempt was unsuccessful, and he slipped into the water himself, causing shock and distress among onlookers.
According to Egyptian media, the child was on a Nile outing in the Manshiyat Al-Qanater area of Giza. While playing, his shoe fell into the river, and when he tried to retrieve it, he slipped and tragically drowned.
Investigation into the Incident
Preliminary examinations and investigations conducted by security authorities revealed that locals managed to recover the child’s body before the police arrived. The body was kept under the custody of the public prosecutor pending the preparation of a medical report to determine the cause of death and authorize burial.
