Egyptian actress Mai Omar sparked curiosity on social media after posting a series of new photos on her Instagram account, accompanied by a caption many described as “mysterious.”

Mai Omar kept her comment brief, writing only two words: “Modern and my rules,” which led followers to interpret it in various ways. Some saw it as a message about the strength of her unique looks and her control over her choices, while others shared their own experiences and words of support.

Mai Omar attacks a colleague over the trend

Earlier, Mai Omar had launched a strong attack on a colleague via a Facebook post, calling him “not an actor” after he criticized the trend during Ramadan. She explained that her colleague posted remarks downplaying the public’s excitement over his work trending, stating that “the trend is not the goal of the job” and “art is more important than numbers.”

Mai said, “At that time, I chose not to respond, knowing he was close to any trend. Even if it entered the top ten for just half an hour, he would be thrilled and share it as if he had conquered Jerusalem… And indeed, when his series hit the trend, he celebrated being number one.” She added, “Of course, I’m not against anyone enjoying their success—congratulations—but let’s stop the act of saying: I’m above trends, then immediately celebrating and posting 20 stories.”

Mai Omar clarifies

She concluded her post by stressing that her words were not directed at any of the stars involved in the show, saying: “I respect and appreciate them, and my comments are not against anyone who participated in the series. I just wanted to clarify my stance regarding actions and statements that seemed contradictory.”
