Ahmed Saad: "I wanted to add a sense of humor to the songs" Ahmed Saad: "I started singing half the song and leaving the other half to the audience"

The Egyptian singer Ahmed Saad said he chose to focus on two main goals this summer, explaining: "I wanted to bring a sense of humor into my songs and into my spirit with the audience, and to present simple, light works. People are going through difficult times and don’t want to listen to sad or complicated songs. That’s why I chose cheerful songs that make them smile and enjoy themselves."

A Shift in His Artistic Style

Saad revealed, in a television interview, a change in his singing approach, adding: "I used to sing very difficult songs to showcase my vocal abilities, to the point that some of my fellow singers couldn’t perform them. Yes, they show vocal power, but they’re too hard for the audience to join in. Now, I sing half the song and leave the other half for the audience. This creates direct interaction and makes the concert more enjoyable."

Addressing the controversy around his fashion choices, he commented: "That’s a weakness of mine, and sometimes I even make fun of myself."

Amr Saad Joins Him in “Akhouya Da”

The singer also shared details about his brother Amr Saad’s participation in the music video for his hit song “Akhouya Da” from his latest album, saying: "Amr is the most important person in my life. At first, I was hesitant to ask him to join because I didn’t want the video to be seen only as about brothers. But Amr sensed my hesitation and insisted on taking part. He told me: ‘It’s a great idea and it will be even better with the two of us together.’"

He added: "Honestly, I was very happy with his support and the fact that he stood by me without a second thought, just because I’m his brother."

His Brother Dr. Samah Saad… and a Hidden Singing Talent

Saad also spoke about his other brother, Dr. Samah Saad, the renowned Egyptian scientist, noting his artistic side as well: "When Samah sits with me, I feel like he’s from another world, his way of thinking is so different. I even tell him I’d love to meet his scientist friends. He also sings very beautifully. Our mother raised us with the belief that education is the most important foundation in life."
