Shocking details in the case of the killing of six children in Egypt

Investigations into the murder of six children and their father in the village of Dalga, in the Deir Mawas district of Minya Governorate, have revealed shocking details after the stepmother confessed to poisoning the family through bread.
In her confession, the suspect explained that she kneaded the bread and divided it into four loaves, then placed them in the oven and took them out before they were fully baked to leave her fingerprint using her right thumb. She then poured small amounts of a toxic liquid from an insecticide container onto the fingerprints on the loaves and returned them to the oven to finish baking.
She confirmed that she marked the poisoned bread by placing it in a white bag, while preparing another untainted loaf for her husband’s parents in a black bag and sent it to them simultaneously, in an attempt to divert suspicion from herself.
The Public Prosecution referred the suspect to the Criminal Court in an urgent session, charging her with premeditated murder of the six children and their father, in addition to attempted murder of the first wife.
Investigations revealed that the motive behind the crime was revenge against the first wife, whom the husband had returned to his custody, prompting the suspect to commit the crime out of jealousy and vengeance.
