Mi Omar: "At that time, I decided to remain silent and let the days reveal everything" Mi Omar: "Anyone who knows me well will know that I have never responded to anyone before"

Actress Mai Omar lashed out at a fellow colleague in the entertainment industry, describing him as "not an actor," after his previous criticism of the trending charts during Ramadan, only to be surprised later by his excitement when his current series entered the trend.

Mai Omar expressed her anger in a Facebook post, saying: "A colleague, not an actor. I used to consider him a friend, but he wrote a post during Ramadan criticizing people who celebrate their work reaching the trend, saying: 'Trending is not the goal of the job, we work for art, not numbers'… pure theorizing and nonsense at the highest level."

She added: "At that time, I decided to stay silent and let time reveal the truth, because I knew he had a series coming up, and as soon as it approached any trend, even briefly, he would celebrate as if he had conquered Jerusalem!"

"Has trending become nice?"

Mai Omar continued: "And indeed, as I expected, as soon as his series entered the trend, he started celebrating that he was number one. God! Has trending become nice now after it was bad during Ramadan?"

She emphasized that others celebrating their success is natural: "I am not against anyone being happy with their success, on the contrary, congratulations to them. But we should stop the attitude of 'I am different… I am above the trends,' and then as soon as we approach it, we celebrate and post dozens of stories."

She concluded her post by clarifying: "I want to make it clear that my words are not directed at any star who participated in the work. I respect and appreciate them, and anyone who knows me well will know that I have never responded to anyone before."

It is worth noting that Mai Omar participated last Ramadan in the series Esh Esh, which achieved great success and included a star-studded cast such as Magdy El-Masry, Intissar, Dina, Hala Sedki, Nada Moussa, Ihab Fahmy, Mohamed El Sharnouby, with the series written and directed by Mohamed Sami.
