The town of Biqudin, in Morocco’s Taroudant Province, awoke on Friday to a heartbreaking human tragedy, after a road accident claimed the lives of eight people at once.

The violent collision occurred between a large truck and a taxi carrying passengers on their usual route. In a single moment, their fate was changed forever, as the taxi was completely crushed, making rescue efforts extremely difficult and painful.

A deep shock

The scene left residents and locals in deep shock, as they expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of innocent lives in what was described as a “tragic” accident. Authorities quickly launched an urgent judicial investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of this calamity.
