Alexandria Festival" Honors Sherine in Recognition of Her Artistic Career"

The Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival, chaired by film critic Amir Abaza, honored the Egyptian actress Sherine during the 41st edition of the festival, scheduled to take place from October 2 to 6, in recognition of her distinguished and prolific artistic career.
A prolific cinematic career Sherine has starred in nearly 38 films, including notable works such as Hell, Tears of Her Majesty, The Terrorist, and Bakhit and Adila. She also shone on stage in 84 theatrical productions, including The Married, The Boogeyman, and The Flower When It Plays. Her presence in Egyptian drama left a strong mark through successful series such as Oyoun, Al-Zahir Bibars, Grand Hotel, Sabea Gar, Cairo Kabul, and Souq El Kanto.
An active role in artistic festivals Sherine’s contributions extended beyond acting to the cultural and festival scene. She chaired the International Jury for Persons with Special Needs and participated as a member in both the Catholic Center Festival and the Rabat Film Festival.
This honor highlights Sherine’s prominent role in enriching the artistic scene in Egypt and the Arab world over decades of creativity in theater, cinema, and television, as well as her cultural engagements, establishing her as one of the shining figures in the history of Egyptian art.
The current edition of the festival is held under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Heno, and Major General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said, Governor of Alexandria.
