Egyptian actor Sherif Khairallah revealed through his Facebook account that he narrowly escaped drowning while spending his summer vacation on the North Coast, just hours after the tragic death of cinematographer Taimour Taimour, who drowned while trying to save his son.

Khairallah wrote: “Thank God, today He saved me from drowning. I was standing in the sea when a wave hit me and knocked me down — I almost didn’t make it. Alhamdulillah before and after.”

Details of the Incident In his first comment after the incident, Khairallah explained that he had been standing in the water when a powerful wave struck, knocking him off balance and slamming his head against the sand beneath the water. Another wave quickly followed, intensifying the danger, but he eventually managed to survive. He added: “Thank God, He is generous and has granted me a new lease on life.”

His Reaction to Taimour Taimour’s Death Khairallah also spoke about the tragic passing of cinematographer Taimour Taimour: “Taimour, my dear, may God have mercy on him. He’s a martyr who sacrificed himself for his son. It’s really painful.”

A Warning to the Public The actor concluded with a message of caution to his followers, stressing the dangers of the sea: “The sea is treacherous. Even if the water only reaches your waist, a wave can come and knock you down just like it did with me. Take care of yourselves and your children, and don’t act tough — the sea is unforgiving.”
