Filming of the New Season of “The Voice: Ahla Sawt” Begins in Jordan

The Royal Film Commission – Jordan announced that MBC Group, the largest media conglomerate in the Middle East and North Africa, has begun filming the new season of the singing talent show The Voice: Ahla Sawt at the Olivewood Studios in Jordan, alongside the new season of The Voice Kids, over a continuous four-month period.
The Commission explained that Jordan’s selection as the filming location is the result of years of efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s position on the map of high-quality television and film production, and to establish it as a cultural and creative hub in the heart of the Arab world.
This large-scale production presents a unique opportunity to highlight and invest in local talent, while boosting the creative industries sector, which holds significant economic potential for generating direct and indirect job opportunities. The project will provide hundreds of jobs for Jordanian crews, including photographers, sound engineers, lighting technicians, and costume designers, in addition to contracts with 16 Jordanian companies in logistics and technical services.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Imad Hijazeen, stressed the importance of Jordan hosting this major Arab production, stating that it demonstrates regional and international confidence in Jordan’s ability to deliver high-quality production services, while also reflecting the richness and diversity of the Kingdom’s tourism and cultural environment.
Hijazeen added that the ministry views this event as a strategic platform to promote Jordan on a larger scale by showcasing distinctive tourist and archaeological sites to millions of viewers, thereby increasing global awareness of Jordanian destinations and encouraging tourism to the Kingdom.
Director General of the Royal Film Commission – Jordan, Mohannad Al-Bakri, confirmed that the project reflects the success of the Commission’s efforts in developing Jordan’s film and television production infrastructure and demonstrates the added value of the Olivewood Studios.
In this context, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, said that hosting the filming of one of the most prominent talent shows in the Arab world is an unprecedented marketing opportunity to promote Jordan as both a tourist and creative destination. He noted that scenes featured in the program will showcase Jordan’s diverse tourism offerings—its nature, heritage, and civilization—to an audience of tens of millions across the Arab world.
Arabiyat emphasized that this step aligns with the Board’s strategy to leverage major artistic and media productions to enhance Jordan’s positive image and attract more visitors, pointing out that collaboration with MBC Group and the Royal Film Commission reinforces partnerships between the tourism, cultural, and creative sectors to achieve sustainable economic returns.
For his part, Chairman of Olivewood Studios, Raja Gargour, highlighted the importance of the creative industries sector within the framework of the Economic Modernization Vision, describing it as a driver of job creation for Jordanian youth in the coming years. He noted that hosting a global-scale production of this size is the result of close cooperation between the concerned national institutions.
It is also noted that this decision will boost the transportation and hospitality sectors, with Royal Jordanian Airlines handling air transport, while hotels will host more than 11,000 room nights during the production period. Filming will take place across 10 diverse outdoor locations in the Kingdom, giving millions of Arab viewers the chance to discover the variety and beauty of Jordanian sites through MBC’s screen. Previous seasons of The Voice in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia attracted more than 100 million viewers.
