The renowned model and actress Annabelle Scofield, known for her role in the series Dallas, passed away at the age of 62 on February 28 in Los Angeles, after a long struggle with brain cancer, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Annabelle had kept her audience updated on her health via her GoFundMe account, which she created to cover treatment costs. Her last update was on January 18, announcing she underwent an emergency surgery to remove a tumor from her nasal cavity.

She was born on September 4, 1963, in Llanelli, Wales, and is the daughter of British producer John D. Scofield, who worked on successful films such as Jerry Maguire and As Good as It Gets. Annabelle began her career as a model in London, appearing on covers of international magazines like Vogue Germany and Vogue Italy, and collaborated with famous brands including Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Rimmel, and Revlon.

Melissa Richardson, owner of the Take Two agency in London, said: "She was a pioneer in her work, loyal and caring, and expert in what she did. We loved her for her beauty and her cheerful, humble nature."

Annabelle later moved to Los Angeles, where she had a recurring role in Dallas as Laurel Ellis for 12 episodes alongside Larry Hagman. She also appeared in films such as Widow’s Eye, worked behind the camera on productions including The Grimm Brothers, Doomsday, and City of Ember, founded her production company Bella Penny Productions for ads and fashion projects, and published her first novel Cherry Alignment in 2013, inspired by her experience in fashion and acting.
