Akram Hosni: I Always Strive to Deliver Content That Respects the Audience Akram Hosni: Sometimes Apologizing Is the Best Choice to Maintain the Quality of What I Deliver

Egyptian actor Akram Hosni revealed the reason for his absence from this year’s Ramadan drama, emphasizing that his absence was not due to a lack of offers, but because he was not convinced by the projects presented to him.

Hosni explained during a press conference that the audience’s connection to his name during the Ramadan season carries a significant responsibility in choosing his works. He stressed that he always strives to deliver content that respects the viewers and enriches his artistic experience, which he felt was lacking in the works offered to him this year.

He added that his appearance during Ramadan is not about being present for the sake of presence, but only when he feels passionate about an idea and capable of putting in the extra effort worthy of the audience’s trust. He considers that sometimes apologizing is the best choice to maintain the quality of his work.

Regarding his recent drama work, Hosni participated in last Ramadan’s series “Al-Captain”, which consisted of 15 episodes and achieved remarkable viewership across streaming platforms.

The series starred Ayah Samaha, Rahma Ahmed, Sawsan Badr, Sami Mghawri, Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Mohsen Mansour, Wiam Magdy, and Ahmed Al-Rafei, and was directed by Moataz Al-Toni.

The plot revolves around a pilot who causes a plane crash due to an unintended mistake, becoming the sole survivor among the passengers. He is later confronted by the spirits of some of the victims, who ask for his help in completing unfinished tasks they could not accomplish before their deaths.
