The Egyptian actor Magdy Sobhy, brother of renowned artist Mohamed Sobhy, revealed updates on his brother’s health condition after the latter suffered a sudden fainting episode at home, which led to his transfer to the hospital for necessary medical tests.
Magdy posted a photo with Mohamed Sobhy on his Facebook account and reassured the public with the caption: "Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on my brother, the great artist Mohamed Sobhy... Thank God, he is doing well and is only undergoing some medical tests."
Actors Syndicate: Sobhy is in good condition and stable For his part, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, president of the Actors Syndicate, explained that Mohamed Sobhy was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure after experiencing fatigue. He confirmed that Sobhy’s condition is stable, that he is receiving appropriate medical care, and is expected to leave the hospital soon.
Actress Nihal Anbar, who oversees the medical file at the syndicate, also confirmed that Sobhy suffered a sudden fainting incident and was immediately transferred to the hospital for checkups and necessary tests.
A Rich Theatrical and Television Legacy It’s worth noting that Mohamed Sobhy is considered one of the most prominent icons of Egyptian theater. Born in 1948, he graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts with top honors and later founded the "Studio 80" troupe with playwright Lenin El-Ramly. Together, they produced several acclaimed plays such as Takhareef, Enta 7orr, and Weghet Nazar.
Sobhy also gained massive popularity in television, particularly through his long-running series Yawmeyat Wanees (The Diaries of Wanis) and numerous cinematic and theatrical works that established him as a pillar of Egyptian and Arab art.
