The health condition of renowned Egyptian actor Lotfi Labib has significantly worsened over the past few hours, prompting an urgent transfer to the intensive care unit, sparking concern across the artistic community and among his fans.

According to informed sources, the actor experienced severe fatigue and difficulty breathing on Sunday evening, which led to immediate medical intervention. He was swiftly moved to the ICU, where his condition was described as “critical,” with around-the-clock monitoring in an effort to contain the sudden deterioration.

Previous Tumor and Radiation Therapy Without Surgery

Reports indicate that Labib had previously been diagnosed with a tumor for which he underwent intensive radiation therapy, without surgical removal. The treatment caused health complications that recently resurfaced and contributed to his current condition.

The Egyptian Actors' Syndicate released an official statement via its Facebook page, saying: “Dr. Ashraf Zaki, Head of the Syndicate of Theatrical Professions, and the board members wish the great artist Lotfi Labib a speedy recovery, after his health suddenly deteriorated and he was admitted to intensive care.”

It is worth noting that Labib had been discharged from the hospital on July 17 following slight improvement and was later seen at home with Father Botros Daniel and actor Hamza El Aili, giving his fans hope for recovery. However, the latest developments have once again raised serious concern.
