In a shocking move for his fans, Egyptian actor Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz has separated from his wife, An Al-Rifai, after more than 14 years of marriage, which blessed them with three daughters.

Media outlets, citing a source close to the artist’s family, reported that the past period witnessed escalating tension between the couple due to accumulated disagreements, which ended with both parties agreeing to a quiet separation to preserve the feelings of their daughters.

The source explained that the mutual intention of both parties is to maintain a friendly relationship for the sake of the children, with Karim meeting his daughters and ex-wife occasionally in public places so that they do not feel any sudden changes in their daily lives.

It is worth mentioning that Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz married An Al-Rifai in 2011 when he was 26 years old, after a short love story. The wedding was held in one of the major hotels overlooking the Nile in Cairo, attended by many prominent stars from the art world.

Karim, the son of the late star Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, is considered one of the prominent names of his generation. He began his artistic steps from an early age, appearing in a small role in the film "Why Does the Sea Laugh?" in 1995, before receiving significant support from his father, who assigned him a pivotal role in the series "Mahmoud Al-Masry," which marked a true breakthrough for him.
