Videos Reveal the Hidden Truth.. Head of Egypt’s Musicians’ Syndicate Decides to Take Strict Measures

Artist Mostafa Kamel, head of Egypt’s Musicians Syndicate, has decided to implement a series of decisive measures to regulate the singing scene in Egypt and to raise the level of professional commitment among artists.
This came through an official statement issued by Kamel, in which he addressed direct messages to the syndicate’s general assembly members, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the rules and regulations in place within the syndicate.
Expulsion of 3 Members from the Vocal Performance Division
The statement explained that the syndicate secretly monitored concerts held in Cairo and the North Coast, documenting serious violations through the analysis of circulated videos. This led to the permanent expulsion of three members from the vocal performance division after breaching the commitments they had signed, which included withdrawing certain old videos and preventing their re-broadcast.
Mostafa Kamel noted that he deliberately refrained from naming these members to avoid giving them undeserved publicity, stressing that monitoring operations continue to catch all violators.
Coordination with Relevant Authorities to Pursue Offenders
The syndicate head confirmed coordination with the intellectual property authorities and relevant bodies to hand over lists of offenders who are either non-members or unauthorized performers, requesting legal procedures be taken against them, including official reports. The syndicate’s legal department was also tasked with following up on these cases nationwide to ensure law enforcement and the protection of the music profession.
Temporary Suspensions Without Fines to Uphold Principles
Kamel pointed out that some cases resulted in temporary suspensions without financial penalties, underscoring the syndicate’s principle of protecting public taste and defending the dignity of the profession rather than seeking financial gain.
Official Mourning for the Late Artist Ahmed Amer
In a humane and professional gesture, the syndicate council announced the holding of an official mourning ceremony for the late artist Ahmed Amer, as a message of respect for both personal dignity and the profession, especially in a time when some seek quick profits at the expense of artistic values.
Mostafa Kamel described the late artist as a model of professional ethics and criticized the superficial remorse shown by some artists without genuine commitment.
Broad Commitment to the Artistic Code of Honor
The syndicate head confirmed that a large number of artists have recently committed to the artistic code of honor, either out of personal conviction or to preserve the image of Egyptian art.
Investigations and Official Letter to the Ministry of Tourism
In conclusion, Kamel announced the emergence of new videos documenting artistic violations, prompting the syndicate to refer several offenders for investigation, impose substantial fines, and expel those proven unfit for membership.
He also sent an official letter to the Ministry of Tourism and the Chamber of Tourism Establishments, urging them to refrain from dealing with venues that promote artistic vulgarity, in order to protect public taste and support pure Egyptian art.
