Humaira Asghar's Decomposed Body Found in Her Apartment Murder Ruled Out as No Signs of Forced Entry or Violence Were Found

The body of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found in an advanced state of decomposition inside her apartment in Lahore, nearly three weeks after her death — a shocking discovery that quickly went viral on social media and sparked sorrow throughout the Pakistani entertainment industry.

According to The Sun, the body was discovered after a court order was issued to vacate her apartment due to more than a year of unpaid rent. When police entered to enforce the eviction, they were stunned to find her remains, indicating she had been deceased for quite some time.

Foul Play Ruled Out

Dr. Summaiya Syed, one of the investigators involved in the case, stated that the body was in a "very advanced" stage of decomposition. While the official cause of death has not yet been determined, authorities have ruled out foul play, citing the absence of any signs of forced entry or violence.

From Runways to the Screen

Humaira, who passed away at the age of 32, was born in Lahore and received formal training in the arts at the National College of Arts (NCA) and the College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab. She began her career as a model in 2013 before transitioning into acting, where she appeared in several television dramas including Laali Benaam, Chal Dil Mere, and Sirat‑e‑Mustaqeem.

In 2015, she made her film debut with Jalaibee, and her last big-screen appearance was in Love Vaccine in 2021. However, her rise to wider fame came after participating in the Pakistani reality TV show Tamasha Ghar in 2022 — the local version of Big Brother.

Recognition Before Her Farewell

In 2023, Humaira was honored with the National Women’s Leadership Award for "Best Emerging Talent and Rising Star." Expressing her gratitude in an Instagram post, she wrote: "This award means so much to me — not only as an individual and a trained actress, but as a woman who understands what can be achieved when given the right opportunity. Once she realizes her true potential, a woman can unleash unstoppable energy and authenticity to make Pakistan shine, both locally and globally."

Her sudden death has left a deep shock within the Pakistani artistic community, with many fellow artists and fans mourning her loss and remembering her vibrant presence and unfulfilled artistic potential.
