"From Gaza to Shafa Badran... "Elia is buried here, and brought to life by your prayers
The late little girl Elia

Elia left this world carrying the pain of war and a wound that never healed Elia's father remembers his precious daughter with heartbreaking words Elia's father: "Visit her grave"

Gazan father Ahmad Younes made a heartfelt and sincere plea — from the depths of a broken father's soul — asking Jordanians to pray for his young daughter Elia, whose fragile body could no longer withstand the agony of war. Though she had survived the rubble, she left this world a martyr under the wing of pain.

Elia, the little girl carried by her father from the ruins of Gaza to the capital, Amman, dreamed only of life — of healing, of a small toy, or a safe embrace. But she arrived at a hospital bearing fourth-degree burns and sepsis, after a heartbreaking delay in medical evacuation. Her injuries were not just wounds, but a living testimony to the cruelty of war and the delay of mercy.

A Missing Image, A Silent Farewell

Her unseen image, resisting in silence, captured the hearts of people across social media. Heartbreaking comments flooded in — comments that melted hearts yet warmed her father’s, offering emotional comfort in the face of immeasurable loss. Their words became candles lighting the darkness of grief, gentle prayers whispering her name — Elia — into the heavens.

"Visit Her Grave"

Ahmad Younes wrote a post soaked in sorrow — yet filled with gratitude — as he found in Jordan hearts that embraced his daughter, and a medical team that spared no effort in trying to save her. He said: "They received us with hearts that cried with us... but my daughter Elia’s condition was critical."

She was not alone in her final moments. Doctors, nurses, and her father bid her farewell — tears falling faster than words. Her innocent body was laid to rest in Shafa Badran Cemetery.

"If you ever pass by there, visit her grave… Pray for her… For every sincere prayer from your hearts is a new life in her new world."

This is how a grieving father ended his message — a message soaked with the pain of Gaza’s parents, and the dreams of children that wither before they ever bloom.

Elia was not just Ahmad’s daughter. She was a daughter of humanity — one of the thousands of untold stories, another innocent soul lost to war, who held no weapon but pure innocence.

From a broken father… from the wounded heart of Palestine, to every kind Jordanian soul: Elia deserves to be remembered, to be visited, to be prayed for… She now dwells in a world without bombing, without pain.
