Karim Abdel Aziz achieves an unprecedented milestone in Egyptian cinema

In a historic first for Egyptian cinema, star Karim Abdel Aziz has achieved an unprecedented milestone, becoming the first Egyptian actor to have four of his films enter the list of highest-grossing movies, with each surpassing the EGP 100 million mark.
“Project X” Joins the List
The latest addition to this elite list is “Project X”, which premiered in May and has so far grossed over EGP 130 million, making it Karim Abdel Aziz’s fourth film to break the 100-million barrier. The film is written and directed by Peter Mimi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ahmed Hassany. It features a stellar cast, including Yasmine Sabri, Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Ghazi, and Essam El Sakka, along with several notable guest stars such as Hana El Zahed, Maged El Kedwany, Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, and Amir Karara.

“Kira & El Gin” (2022)
The film grossed around EGP 120 million. Also written by Ahmed Mourad and directed by Marwan Hamed, it featured Ahmed Ezz, Hend Sabry, Razane Jammal, and more.
“Beit El Ruby” (2023)
This film brought in about EGP 131 million. It was written by Mohamed El Dabaa and Reem El Qammah, directed by Peter Mimi, and co-starred Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Nour (Lebanese actress), Tara Emad, and others.
