In a press statement, Dr. Abdel Maqsoud affirmed that Sherine's physical and mental condition is completely stable, saying: "I don’t know why people are saying she’s not psychologically fit to perform... and why everyone is so focused on her treatment. Sherine Abdel Wahab is doing very, very well—none of what’s being said is true."

He added: "She went on stage and performed, and the audience was happy with her. There’s no need for exaggeration or for spreading inaccurate information about her condition."

Criticism Over "Playback" Performance

Sherine Abdel Wahab had performed at the closing of the Mawazine International Festival in Morocco, marking her return to the event after nearly nine years of absence. The concert drew a massive audience.
