Legal advisor Yasser Kantoush, attorney for Ms. Reem Tarek, has announced the initiation of legal procedures to seize the villa of festival singer Hassan Shakosh. The move comes in execution of a final ruling issued by the Family Court in October City, requiring Shakosh to pay EGP 960,000 in post-divorce alimony and compensation to his ex-wife.

Kantoush confirmed that the official enforcement copy of the court ruling has been obtained, and the legal steps to carry out the seizure have begun under the jurisdiction of the October First Police Department. He noted that the process is being carried out in coordination with the relevant prosecution office, which issues a formal enforcement order. Following this, the Execution Department, along with police officers, will proceed to the property to implement the court’s decision in accordance with legal procedures.Shakosh Ordered to Pay Alimony

This development follows the Family Court’s upholding of a lower court ruling that obligated Hassan Shakosh to pay the alimony, in response to a lawsuit filed by Reem Tarek. In her suit, she requested an increase in the originally awarded amount, arguing it was insufficient to meet her needs. After re-examining the case, the court issued a final ruling ordering the singer to pay EGP 960,000.

It is worth noting that the Family Court in Sixth of October City had previously ruled that Shakosh must pay his ex-wife a monthly alimony of EGP 20,000.
