The Death of Egyptian Actor Imad Moharram After Years of Suffering

Veteran Egyptian actor Imad Moharram passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 74, following a long battle with illness. He died at a private hospital in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza Governorate.
A family source confirmed to the press that the late actor had been struggling with ongoing health issues for over four years. He was admitted to intensive care multiple times due to severe heart muscle weakness and low blood oxygen levels, with only brief periods of stability.
The source added that his condition deteriorated significantly in recent months after suffering two strokes. The first affected his ability to speak, while the second led to a sharp decline that ultimately resulted in his passing early Wednesday.
A Brief Biography of Imad Moharram
Born on June 8, 1951, Imad Moharram began his artistic career in the 1970s and appeared in numerous film and television productions. Among his most notable works are Al-Afreet (The Goblins) alongside Amr Diab and Madiha Kamel, Al-Batiniya with Nadia El Gendy, Aqwa Al-Rigal with Nour El Sherif, Ala Bab El-Wazir, and Meen Feena El-Harami (Which of Us Is the Thief).
His final on-screen appearance was in the 2014 Ramadan TV series Awalem Khafeya (Hidden Worlds) starring Adel Imam, after which he stepped away from the spotlight due to his declining health.
