Bahaa Sultan Questioned Over Releasing a Song Without Censorship Approval Temporarily Released Pending Completion of Legal Procedures

A new development was witnessed at the Masr El Gedida Court regarding the case of Egyptian artist Bahaa Sultan, following his appearance before the prosecution to investigate accusations of releasing a work of art without obtaining the necessary permits from the relevant authorities.

Counselor Ahmed Khaled, Head of the Masr El Gedida Prosecution, issued a decision to release Bahaa Sultan pending investigations, after questioning him regarding the release of a song on social media platforms without authorization from the Artistic Works Censorship Authority. The artist had voluntarily appeared at the prosecution offices for questioning and was released temporarily pending the completion of legal procedures.

“Ged El-Hussein” Song Sparks Interaction

The investigation came after Sultan released his new song “Ged El-Hussein,” in collaboration with artist Mohamed El Sisi, marking their first artistic collaboration, timed with the Hajj season. The song received wide engagement on social media. The artist promoted the song through his official Instagram account, mentioning the production team, writing: “Ged El-Hussein video clip.. Lyrics and composition: Ramy Gamal, Solo: Shahi, Nay: Mohamed Atef, Arrangement, mix, and mastering: Wissam Abdel Moneim.”

A Strong Artistic Comeback with the Album “Rasini”

In a related context, Bahaa Sultan recently released his new album titled “Rasini,” which includes five songs: “Rasini,” “Midaleyat Mafatih,” “Al-Taybeen,” “Etramou,” and “Btshouf Falan.” The album features collaborations with some of the most prominent poets and composers, including Tamer Hussein, Ayman Bahgat Amar, Ahmed Eissa, Medin, Khaled Taj El Din, and Aziz El Shafie. The album has received a positive response since its release.
