The Egyptian actress Yousra was noticeably emotional when talking about her late mother, who passed away six years ago, speaking with a tear-choked voice as she recalled her virtues.
Yousra expressed on a program her deep sadness that still accompanies her to this day, saying, "The loss of my mother still cuts me deeply to this day. Six years have passed, but I am still affected by her departure and it has deeply impacted me."
Her husband, Khaled Selim, who was with her on the same program, interrupted to comfort and ease her pain, saying, "This is natural."
A painful loss for Hesham Selim
Yousra also spoke about her husband’s late brother, the artist Hesham Selim, affirming that his absence still affects the entire family. She added that her husband has not fully recovered yet from the death of his father, while the impact of Hesham’s loss remains.
Khaled Selim confirmed that the age difference between him and Hesham was only a year and a half, highlighting the depth of their bond.
Yousra absent from the latest Ramadan drama marathon
The actress Yousra missed the 2025 Ramadan drama season for the second consecutive year due to lack of time and the absence of a suitable script, noting that she will limit herself to presenting a new film project, the details of which she has not yet revealed according to her earlier statements.
In 2024, Yousra starred in the 10-episode series "Rose and Layla," which was released on a digital platform.
The project brought her together with actress Nelly Karim in their first collaboration. It was written by Chris Cole and directed by Adrian Shergold, and starred Ahmed Wafik, Tiam Qamar, and Hesham Ashour.
