After crises and accusations... Shaimaa Saeed and Ismail El Leithy's divorce

Makeup artist Shaimaa Said has officially announced her separation from her husband, popular Egyptian singer Ismail Al-Laithi, after nearly a decade of marriage, which resulted in children. She confirmed that divorce proceedings are currently in their final stages.
The announcement comes after a series of crises and escalating disputes between the couple, marked by mutual accusations — including claims of domestic violence and theft — which Shaimaa revealed in a series of videos posted on her official TikTok account.
Return to Family Home and Refusal to Re-Marry
In a live video, Shaimaa confirmed her separation, stating that she has moved back into her family home with her two daughters after what she described as a “violent assault.” She added: “I won’t allow a man to enter my life again.”
Accusations of Sorcery and Theft
Shaimaa also accused unnamed individuals of ruining her marriage through the use of black magic, saying: “There were people who interfered between us, and a lot of spells were done to break us up.” In other videos, she appeared emotionally distraught, claiming that Al-Laithi had taken her money, jewelry, and car keys without her knowledge. “I woke up and found he had taken my daughters and stolen everything. I endured 10 years, and I can’t go on anymore,” she said.
Tragic Incident in Al-Laithi’s Life
News of the separation brought back memories of a tragic event in Al-Laithi’s life. In September, the singer lost his son, Reda, who died after falling from a balcony. At the time, Al-Laithi posted on Facebook: “My son and the love of my life is in God’s hands.” He received heartfelt condolences from many in the artistic community, including fellow singer Hamo Bika.
Ismail Al-Laithi: From Imbaba to Stardom
Ismail Al-Laithi is one of Egypt’s most well-known popular music singers. Born in 1989 in the Imbaba district of Giza, he started his musical journey performing at local weddings, where he quickly gained popularity due to his unique voice and style. Among his most popular songs are “Gedo Nahnouh,” “Aman Ya Sahby,” and “Antar w Besa.”
In a previous TV interview, Al-Laithi discussed his early beginnings and credited his mother and grandmother for encouraging him to pursue music. He joined the Imbaba Youth Center as a child and was later accepted into the Cairo Opera House upon the recommendation of maestro Selim Sahab, who helped nurture his talent from the age of seven.
