Egyptian actor Ahmed El Sakka, in a phone interview from the holy lands during his Hajj pilgrimage, denied the authenticity of a "fabricated post" recently attributed to him on social media targeting his ex-wife, TV presenter Maha El-Saghir. He affirmed he had nothing to do with it and revealed that his official page had been hacked.

An Egyptian TV host explained during a television program that El Sakka contacted her directly during his pilgrimage to respond to the controversy surrounding the post, which was later deleted from his official page. She said, “Ahmed called me from Hajj. I asked him directly: did you write it? His response was a firm no.”

El Sakka shared details of his day, saying, “I was performing the arrival tawaf from 7 AM until 11. Then I went to sleep, and when I woke up, my phone was ringing nonstop with messages and calls. I opened the page to check the post everyone was talking about—and found it had been deleted.”

Cyber Breach Behind the Post

El Sakka said his team investigated and confirmed a cyber breach of the page. Four unknown accounts had gained admin access to his Facebook page, allowing them to post and delete content without his knowledge.

He added: “We discovered that there were people logging into the page, posting content, then deleting it and logging out—without us knowing.”

No Conflicts or Desire for Drama

El Sakka denied having any disputes or desire to escalate matters, stressing his ongoing efforts to stay away from conflicts. He said, “I don’t hold grudges, and I always try to avoid problems. But just when I find peace, someone pulls me into conflict against my will. I avoid it for the sake of my peace of mind and my children’s well-being.”

Continued Support for His Ex-Wife Despite Separation

El Sakka reaffirmed his respect and appreciation for his ex-wife, Maha El-Saghir, despite their official separation after 26 years of marriage. He said, “If Om Yassin ever needs my help, I’ll be the first to support her. She’s a kind person, and it’s very hard for me to see someone hurt her. I’m always there for her—but that doesn’t mean we’re getting back together.” He added that some people were trying to act as mediators, but he was fully aware of such attempts.

A Proud Father

Separately, El Sakka expressed his pride in his daughter’s graduation by sharing a photo of her on his Instagram story, writing: “My daughter, my love… Always proud of you. Congratulations, my dearest. May you always succeed and be happy. I love you.”

Divorce After 26 Years of Marriage

El Sakka had previously announced his divorce from Maha El-Saghir two months ago, following a six-month separation. He confirmed that mutual respect still defines their relationship.

Maha El-Saghir Responds to Rumors

In a formal response to rumors linking her to actor Tarek Sabry after the separation, Maha El-Saghir categorically denied the claims. She posted a statement on her official Facebook page, saying: "And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Sufficient is Allah for us against those who speak falsely about us, attribute actions to us that we did not commit, and deny the good we have done. Allah is Witness enough."
