Egyptian actors Hassan El Raddad and his wife Amy Samir Ghanem have welcomed their second child, a baby girl they named Fadia, in tribute to El Raddad’s late mother.

The actor shared the joyful news on his official Instagram account, writing:“To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males.”"Praise be to God, we have been blessed with our beautiful daughter Fadia El Raddad. May God bless her, grant her health and wellness, and bless everyone as well.”

A Serious Health CrisisDuring her pregnancy, Amy suffered a severe health setback due to an autoimmune disease that caused a drastic drop in her immunity. Following her doctors’ advice, she was placed under home isolation for three months to prevent any viral or bacterial infection that could jeopardize her or the baby’s health.

Her condition worsened later on, as she experienced low hemoglobin levels, a rapid heart rate, elevated liver enzymes, and high fever, all of which required close medical monitoring throughout the pregnancy.

Hassan El Raddad and Amy Samir Ghanem tied the knot on November 4, 2016. Their first child, Fady, was born in January 2023 and was named after Hassan’s late brother.

On the Career FrontEl Raddad is preparing to start filming a new movie based on the novel “Taha Al-Ghareeb” by writer Mohamed Sadek. Amy’s most recent appearance was in the Ramadan TV series “Oqbal ‘Andokou” (“Wishing You the Same”), which she starred in alongside her husband.
