Yousra Confirms "El-Sitt Lama" Addresses Women's Rights

Yousra Teases Audiences with "Banat Faten"

Egyptian star Yousra has revealed details of her powerful return to the big screen, with two films currently being shot simultaneously in preparation for their release in cinemas in the near future: El-Sitt Lama and Banat Faten.

In a televised interview, Yousra spoke about El-Sitt Lama, affirming that it defends women's rights but in a light-hearted and comedic way. “The film addresses women's rights in a certain way, but through an enjoyable comedic format, while also highlighting real-life situations that deserve recognition,” she explained.

As for Banat Faten, Yousra noted that the film tackles an unconventional, realistic topic, adding that some of the characters were inspired by true events. “There’s a real element we built the characters around, and I believe the story is out-of-the-box. Hopefully, it will be a pleasant surprise for the audience,” she said.

The Cast

El-Sitt Lama stars a group of notable actors alongside Yousra, including Entissar, Dorra, Yasmin Raeis, Donia Sami, Rania Mansour, and Mahmoud El Bezawy. The film is written by Kiro Ayman and directed by Khaled Abou Gharib.

Meanwhile, Banat Faten features a prominent cast including Bassem Samra, Huda El Mufti, Sudanese actors Mostafa Shehata and Islam Mubarak, and Hamdy Heikal, with a special guest appearance by rising actor Hassan Malek. The film is written by Amina Mostafa and directed by Mohamed Nader.
