The Sun Beats Down on Gaza’s Children Amid Ongoing Aggression Empty Stomachs Grip the Strip as Tel Aviv’s Brutal Policy Prevails

He sat for a long time—after a long wait—having walked since dawn to secure his turn for food rations at a charity center in Jabalia, northern Gaza.

The harsh sun showed no mercy to the innocence of the forgotten child. Its burning heat struck his fragile body, intensifying his suffering amid widespread hunger, relentless airstrikes, and heartbreaking scenes. All he dreamed of was a mere morsel of bread to ease his gnawing hunger—his empty stomach had drained all his strength.

Pain and OppressionHe sat on the rubble, surrounded by the siege of pain and grief, weeping in agony, speaking to himself: would he manage to get food to feed his struggling family? He collapsed under the weight of his sorrow.

Between a broken heart and tormented thoughts, he recalled the days when his mother used to cook with skill, the aroma of her dishes filling the air, sharing meals with neighbors. Today, he misses those times of comfort and abundance, as Tel Aviv allows in only a drop in the ocean of humanitarian needs in the form of limited food aid.

Developments on the GroundOn the 64th day since the resumption of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, bombardment continued in parallel with the destruction of residential blocks in the north. The Ministry of Health reported the martyrdom of 53 Palestinians in airstrikes on multiple areas since dawn on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Government Media Office in Gaza stated that the Israeli claim of allowing in 9 aid trucks—even if true—represents only a small fraction of the urgent humanitarian needs. It noted that 44,000 aid trucks should have entered Gaza over the past 80 days.

It further emphasized that Gaza requires 500 aid trucks daily to alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

For the first time in 80 days, Tel Aviv announced its intention to allow 9 aid trucks to enter. Hebrew media revealed that the entry of this aid was a result of pressure from the Palestinian resistance on the U.S. administration, in exchange for the release of the "Israeli soldier" with American origins, Edan Alexander.
